Popular Nollywood star actress Joke Silva is not her ever happy self as she is bereaved.

The wife of Olu Jacob who is also a veteran actor has just lost her mum, Dr Marienne Abimbola Silva.
Dr Silva died peacefully on Sunday, July 19, 2015 in Lagos.

Though Dr Silva was the first Nigerian female to bag a medical degree, she was the third female medical doctor in Nigeria.
In 1979, Silva was given a national award, she was honoured with the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON).
Dr Silva is survived by her children Biyi Silva, screen goddess, Joke Silva, Bisi Silva, Jumoke Daodu and Lape Silva; grandchildren and great grandchildren.
